Sunlight pours like pure life glowing summer, warm light absorbed by bodies white hair shines bright comfortable on a lazy afternoon. A pale amber and sage spotted bed made of blades dull to fit the slow pace of the drifting by days, lulled by the sun to s snooze. As they sleep, they will fill up with life, lying still and upon next days break they will give, we will take sweet milk to lull us to sleep too.

Seeking Solace

When I seek solace I find myself trying to scrounge up $20. Or if I'm lucky, just a light. When I look for solace, I find myself stuck, sedated, and full with a hug as thick as honey, golden, and sweet. The color of feelings mixes well with a mood so green. Seeking solace I seek a long, nestled sleep. I seek a feeling that my feelings are more than just deep. I seek a sun that sets, and I always find relief.

Dark Poem

In Africa where the sun beats like the drums, we are black as the night that we lack. Deep black, like deep, black water in the lightless depths where creatures glow from within despite immersion under pounds of pure darkness. Wherever, dark will accompany light. Why perceive this as a fight, when one gives birth to the other? No matter how white and crisp your sheets, shadows lie in the folds. Shadows house quiet, shade, retreat, when the light is something foreign you would not like to meet. Remember, you were safe, before. It was warm before you were born. Only with dawn did you learn there are storms.

Watered down, sickly smashed peas. Buzzing buzzing, buzzing. With a flicker, highlighter and piss. A disgrace to the color of sunshine. The surfaces of my eyes feel cold while the insides strain, they see this. I hear: FLACK FLACK FLACK the flies hurl themselves, senselessly at the light as it drones, too. The light covers me like itching surveillance… Dingy. Plastic. Missing sharp shaped fragments, the fractures like holes in the ozone letting yellow radiation seep through. Found a cool challenge.

I found this challenge- It was orignally intended to be a drawing challenge but I thought It would be cool to use instead a a subject-inspirtion challenge for poetry? I think the ideas are more suited to it, too. Anyway here's the list I wrote down a copy of it in my notebook to to cross off when one is done. I decided I could use a coulple recent poems on a few of the subjects since it'd be repetitive to return to them... I'm always a little loose when sticking to challenges like this.  I think I ight try to do a drawing for each too. They could be pairs... :p I like the order of this list too. 1. Introduction 2.
